Any subscribers to my diary? If so, I apologize for not updating in a while.

This weekend, AlwaysLolita and I went to our friend's wedding, which was out of town. That's one reason I haven't updated in almost a week. Well, laziness also stops me from updating, but all of you know that side of me, eh?

We left on Friday at about noon, taking that 2 1/2 hour long drive. It was pouring rain right in the middle of the drive... so bad that even with lights on, you could barely see anything in front of you.

We helped decorate and make party favors and all that fun stuff, even though I wasn't really in the wedding (AlwaysLolita was a Hostess and a Scripture Reader), but I had fun helping out anyway. I got to go to the rehearsal dinner, which was at Catfish Hut. That place had some really good food.

The wedding was really nice. Very personal, it had a very family-like atmosphere all around. I'm very happy for her and her new husband.

I sat in the last row of the church, right in the aisle. I could see all the happiness in her eyes as she walked down the aisle beside her dad...

and I thought, "Damn, I have a great seat to get a clear picture of them kissing..."

Of course the professional photographer had to stand right in my line of sight... so I didn't even get to see the kiss, let alone get a nice picture of it.

Oh well, that's what I get for not being a professional photographer.

The reception was also very much like a family gathering. All the food was homecooked meal style. Really good. I didn't get a chance to try the Groom's Cake, but the wedding cake was really moist and goooooood.

We left the reception at about 8-ish to leave for Baton Rouge. AlwaysLolita had to meet with her class group for a presentation coming up this week, so we left and headed for Dramagirl's apartment. Her birthday is today, Sunday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DRAMAGIRL, IF YOU'RE READING THIS!), so we picked up a bunch of flowers and gave it to her as an early birthday gift. We spent the night over there and went out to eat brunch with her. After that, we went back to her place, took a nap (AlwaysLolita was really tired and didn't get much sleep that night), and then we stopped over at WalMart. We had to pick up a few art supplies for a project due this Thursday. Then we got back to our apartments.

There were a few things I forgot about at WalMart, so I walked back over there to pick them up. It's a good 45 minute walk to WalMart, but it's a nice walk, well shaded for the most part. Nice clear day, too, and it was a nice walk in the evening back.

Did some laundry and then went to the rec. Haven't been there since Thursday, so I gotta get back on track. According to the scale there, I gained one pound since Thursday... which isn't bad, considering I ate a lot of good food and did very little exercise-type of things.

I'm trying to increase the amount of laps I jog... but I haven't been able to do that much yet. I alternate between jogs and walks, so I started off with a 2-walk, 2-jog, 2-W, 2-J, 2-W, 1-J, 1-W. Now I'm gonna try keeping to a 2-W, 2-J, 2-W, 2-J, 2-W, 2-J, 2-W, 1-J, 1-W. There have been a couple times where I actually jogged 3 laps, but then I find myself straining to jog 2 laps later that session... so I guess I'm not quite ready for that.

That usually takes me about half an hour, and so I spend another half hour in the weightroom, alternating between the machines. The only leg machine I use are the outer and inner thigh machines. Sit-ups kinda scare me on that device they have there.... but I'll get to it one day. The one I like the most is this tricep workout one. I always feel self-conscious about my arms (well, actually everything about me), so I don't wear many short-sleeve things. I always want my arms covered 'cuz they don't look good. I want to make them look nicer.

I know I'm not in shape. I'm trying to get better at it, though. I'm pretty sure keeping up this routine has been helping out my asthma problem. I used to get all wheezy after jogging just a little bit on the track back in Hawai'i, but now I'm jogging (alternating with walking) for half an hour and it's not a bad wheezing... just the normal short-of-breath-from-exercising pant. I'm planning on going everyday, with maybe one day break a week.

Oh yes, I finally decided on going to New York on March 16-20. I hope the weather is nice and cold, because that's what I'm expecting. I REALLY want to meet Lothorius Blade and his kids (Blade is someone I've known for a while from chat). We're planning a possible visit to the Museum of Natural Science together. That'd be so cool to get to meet him and his kids AND go see dinosaurs!

My family friends that live in NY will be taking me to see AIDA, the Sunday Matinee for it. Maybe go out to dinner or something afterwards. They're busy on Friday and Saturday, so I don't want to bother them by staying at their place.... I'll probably stay at the La Guardia Clarion Hotel or something for those nights, then spend Sunday and Monday night with them.

Not quite sure what I'll be doing on Monday yet, but I DO want to go see the Metropolitan Museum, too, if I get a chance. See the sights as much as possible.

I wrote a paragraph about something, but just now decided to delete it. I guess after writing it, I realize it's not an appropriate thing to talk about... even though this IS my diary. Oh well. I reserve the right to NOT write things in here. heh.

Strange enough, Precious had a wedding to go to this weekend, too. He went back to his hometown to go to his friend's wedding. They had the bachelor party at a... bowling alley. To quote Precious (speaking of his friend): "I knew he could be lame, and redneckish.. ..but bowling for a bachelor party, what the fuck is that, it's... that's just plain WRONG."

Especially since his friend seems to go bowling every weekend anyway.

Oh well, whatever floats his boat, I guess. He's probably scared to go to a strip club or something. heh.

So anyway... I've bored you people enough. I hope your weekends were great, fun-filled, (lethal) drug-free, and enjoyable. I know mine was. All except for the long car ride... I really hate those.

Tune in laters, insomniacs.
