Okay, the hunt for a second job hasn't been going so well. Maybe I'm just being overly impatient on it, but I haven't had one call back yet. I've been actively applying at different places for the past four weeks now, and nothing yet.
Here's where I've applied so far:
Pizza Hut, delivery
Sam's Club, cashier/any
Hale Koa Hotel, cashier/hostess
Honolulu International Airport cafe snack bar
Down To Earth Health Food Store, Deli clerk
Starbucks Coffee
Seattle's Best Coffee
Wal-mart, overnight cashier/stocker/any
Chili's, bus/any
I didn't think it would be so hard to find another job, but I guess it's harder when you don't have an open schedule. I think the best place right now would be Wal-mart, since it can be during the overnight hours. I'll also be applying at a few more places tomorrow. Maybe Fisher, Hawaii (office/art supplies warehouse outlet) and a Japanese restaurant, and possibly a convenience store. At least I've been given Full-time status at work now. That helps. I need to save up money in order to get an apartment closer to school and work (hopefully anyway), but I also have to find an apartment that allows pets. Mon-key has two "kids", a dog and a cat, and I need to make sure to find an apartment that will allow a dog that is about 40 pounds. That's medium dog size, if I've been told correctly. So far, I've seen a lot of small pets allowed, but not too many ones that are open to any types of animals. October is the goal, so I hope to find a place by then. If I find one in September, I'll get it then, though it'll be a month early, at least I'll know I guarantee have a place.
It's really late, so I'll be ending this short. I actually was planning on writing more, but the time disappeared from me.
