Current music: LIVE - "Sanctity of Dreams" Well, after what... 4 weeks of applying at places, I finally got an interview set up. I called Seattle's Best Coffee, because my co-worker mentioned they were hiring at one of the locations. I made sure to have them look at my application, and I called the next day, where the lady set up an interview for me on Monday. I hope I can convince them that I'd be good for the job... I'm really tired of searching. I was really hoping for a pizza delivery job, but it doesn't seem like that's going to work out.
The current café supervisor recently applied for a supervisor position at a store in Oklahoma City. Her and her husband were planning to move to Oklahoma around November, after their lease ran out, but if she gets that job at the other store, they will be moving early. I hate thinking this way, because I really like those two, and I don't want them moving early, but if she does end up getting the job, I was thinking of applying for the café supervisor position. If that happens, depending on the pay, I may not need a second job.... but I'm not going to count on getting that position if it opens up. The management doesn't seem to think I'm capable of being a good supervisor, so if they think that, even if I AM one of the more qualified people for that position, they won't give it to me. I think I'm probably better off getting two separate jobs, even though I WOULD devote my efforts to being a supervisor. Damn them.
What else is going on in my life.... not much. It's pretty routine. Wake up. Eat breakfast, if there's time. Go to work. Work. Go home. Stay up all night. Talk to Mon-key on the phone. Go to sleep. If I don't work that day, I usually take my mom shopping, or apply for jobs, or catch a matinee. Any good movies out there that anyone can recommend?
Yeah, I really need another job to get rid of the free time that I have now. Summer School at the Intermediate School doesn't start for another couple of weeks, so I'm getting bored. Bored, yet I also feel exhausted after a day of work. I don't even know why. Maybe it's because of my cutting back on the complex carbohydrates. My doctor's advice: cut back rice and you can lose weight pretty easily. In Hawai'i, everyone eats everything with rice. Chili and rice. Beef stew and rice. Macaroni and cheese. and rice. Yeah, you heard me. Pasta wirh rice. That's how much rice people eat here. So, cut back on rice and you can lose weight. You will most likely lose a bit of energy at the same time, since that is where a lot of energy comes from. (Ending sentences with prepositions is fun, heh.) I've done the low-carb diet before, and it worked for me, so I will try to stick with it again. I'm thinking of taking up Pilates, too. I've been having tense muscles in my back, probably due to bad sleep position, and Pilates helps stretch out. For all you short people out there, Pilates stretches you out so much, you can actually grow an inch or two. I guess that might just be because most people slouch....
Like I said earlier, there's not much going on with me at the moment, so this is it for now.
