Current music: LIVE - "Sweet Release"

It's over. The long search for a second job is over! Now I can forget about trying to call people back, run around turning in applications, etc. I've even offered to help with getting the place ready for its opening, which they are shooting for June 23. I also want to check the place out, and figure out where the HELL to PARK. Downtown isn't the easiest place to park.... in fact, it sucks. I'm hoping they will have employee parking area.

Yesterday, I went out shopping with my friends, and we decided to eat dinner at a restaurant next to where I work. So, I decided to drop by work before I headed down to the restaurant. I was going to bug my friend, who I will call Bob-uh, for pictures. She and I went to the east shore on Thursday, and took a bunch of pictures of the beaches, Blowhole, etc. She developed the pictures that day, and said they came out really nice, but since I didn't work on Friday, she didn't bring them. She'll bring them today. Anyway, as I was in the break room at work, another of my co-worker friends, who I will call exSoHagirl (she works at this place called SoHa, but is planning to quit very soon) looks at me and asks, "Did you hear? Do you know?" Of course I had no idea what she was talking about, since I haven't been there until that moment. She then told me another of our co-workers, who I will call Coldplaygirl (because, you guessed it, she likes Coldplay) just got fired. I was shocked, and worried at the same time. Just the day before, I talked to our manager about how Coldplaygirl will open up CDs to play on the overhead speakers in the music section. That's not what bothered me, really. The part that bothered me, which made me finally mention it, is that she will leave the CDs in the back for someone ELSE to shrinkwrap them up to put back out on the salesfloor. It bothers me, because she talks of putting them away, but she always leaves them for someone else to do it. Also, she took a CD out of one of the regular Listening Stations, and didn't put the disc back, which left the player empty in that one slot, and forced ME to have to find the disc and put it back in for a customer.

I know that it can't be my fault she got fired, because to get fired on something so miniscule as that would be stupid. I think it's probably a combination of all different things. One that I can think of right off the bat is that she will disappear for a long time, and come back. She comes back, yes, but the store's rules are each person who works a full shift is allowed to take 2 ten-minute breaks. Her ten-minute breaks usually end up being 20 minutes. Sometimes she even takes her break right before her own break, which makes it pointless to even come back at all. Sometimes she takes her break right before someone else's break, and she comes back late, and makes that person have to leave late for their break. On top of that, on days that her girlfriend works (her girlfriend works with us), she will disappear for her girlfriend's lunch break. Not for the whole lunch break, but she will disappear. When I say disappear, it usually means Coldplaygirl will not let a manager know, or let anyone else know, especially when it's during her girlfriend's lunch hour. These are all things that everyone knew about, they accepted it and ignored it, because she would never change, even if you asked nicely; she would say "Sure, no problem", but would never change. I could tolerate it, but I couldn't stand the deal with the opening up CDs and not resealing them herself. I'm guessing that, since our managers just switched around so that the music manager we had before is no longer our direct manager, the new manager didn't want to deal with those problems.

I wonder if she ever got a warning previous to being fired. In any case, the General Manager needs to approve it first, so it must've been clear that it was what needed to be done.

In happier news... ummm... hmm.... I got a second job ready for me. Oh wait, I already said that one. Man, I really need a life.
