Well, the semester has started for me, and I am SO glad that I got out of that Women Writers on Women class.
I really, really, did NOT want to read Jane Eyre. I avoided reading it back in 10th grade, and I sure as Hell wasn't about to read it for college. Instead, I registered for American Studies, where we'll be covering culture in America.
The other class I'm taking is Religion 348 - Religion, Politics and Society. It's an oral communication focus course, and it's only on Tuesdays from 12:30-3:00, but it looks to be interesting. We actually have to think in this class, but not in the manner that most classes make you "think."
Does any of that make sense? I don't know.
So, anyway, I want to quit my job. Corporate Loss Prevention lady fired four of my workers, which left me having trouble. And they did this RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Fuckin' idiots. They could've waited. They make me sick.
I applied at Best Buy, in the hopes that I can get a job there when they open up in June. I know that they are just another corporation, but at least it will be a change of location. One of my workers' cousins (or brothers? can't remember) are already working for Best Buy, even though the store hasn't opened yet. They were recruited from Home Depot. I asked her to put in a good word for me, maybe get the Multimedia Supervisor job there, or something. Cross fingers.
